Before you give

People, not organisations: Contributions can only come from individuals. A corporation, a trade union or a community group cannot give to a municipal campaign in Ontario.
You have to live in Ontario: Anyone who normally lives in Ontario may contribute, whether or not they live in this ward or get to vote in this election.
There is a ceiling: One person may give this campaign up to $1,200. There is a separate, larger cap on what one person may give across all the candidates in Ottawa put together.
Everything is receipted: Every contribution is receipted and recorded. Anything over $100 is listed by name in the campaign’s financial statement, which is public after the election.

The campaign follows the contribution rules in the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. If anything here is unclear, the City of Ottawa’s election office is the authority on it, not this page.
